Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a motivated Marine Electrical Engineer SME to join our team in supporting the design, evaluation, and modification of shipboard electrical systems. In this role, you'll contribute your expertise by reviewing electrical design drawings, interpreting ship specifications, and supporting the development of power distribution, lighting, and diesel-electric propulsion systems.

You'll also assist in creating technical documentation and performing key engineering analyses such as Electric Power Load Analysis (EPLA), Arc-Flash, Ground Fault, and Survivability assessments. Responsibilities



  • Provide leadership and coordinate review efforts for verification and validation work related work efforts in the Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • Review design review comments submitted by junior engineers and advise decisionmakers on considerations for high impact and critical design review decisions.
  • Coordinate and lead review and adjudication of system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's).
  • Lead effort to evaluate new or modified electronics on overall system performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architecture.
  • Extensive Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
  • Provide mentorship to junior electrical engineers.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 15 years' documented experience working in one of the following specialized fields: electric propulsion, machinery control, power generation or distribution systems.
  • Experience leading electrical engineering work efforts for Government or commercial shipbuilding programs strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 software suite, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Hybrid - two (2) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
