CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our Corporate - Health & Safety Team at any of the following office locations: Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; Indianapolis, IN; Miami, FL; or Tampa, FL.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services. These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

At CHA, the Health & Safety Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day management and technical expertise of the corporate health and safety function. The professional in this role will partner with the Director of Corporate Health & Safety on strategic, company-wide initiatives that drive CHA's proactive safety planning and safety engagement culture, such as providing specialized safety training and conducting self-assessments and safety audits. This key role will manage incident investigations and partner with operational leadership to address all relevant issues.

The Health & Safety Manager will manage the efficient and effective execution of developing, gathering, tracking, analyzing and reporting of key safety KPIs to allow for the assessment of the impact on operations and development of mitigation strategies. Additionally, this individual will assist in the due diligence and integration work as part of CHA's aggressive merger and acquisition strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene; Environmental Health & Safety; or related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years of corporate H&S program management experience at corporate or regional safety level required
  • Demonstrated knowledge in proactive H&S program tool development and implementation/use of EHS software (Cority, EHS Insight, Enablon, Ideagen, Intelex, Velocity EHS or similar) to maximize safety workstream efficiency, data management and data trending.
  • Experience in architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry preferred
  • Experience in organizational culture change
  • Expertise in development and/or implementation of proactive and progressive safety management systems
  • Construction site safety inspection and auditing experience
  • Safety standards and training program development experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills with broad experience working with both corporate level leadership, operations leadership and technical field staff
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong analytical and research skills to define and solve issues
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines, establish and meet program goals, and manage workload priorities
  • Ability to travel to support internal and client needs (20% travel)
  • Safety Certification preferred (CSP or CIH, CHST)
  • Qualified Trainer in the following elements preferred: Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS); Permit-Required Confined Space


SALARY RANGE:

$90,000 - $105,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
