How you will make history here...

Directly supervises 3 leads and 2 clerks and indirectly supervises up to 45 distribution employees.
Supervise the accurate shipping/receiving/reconciling of finished product inventories.
Ensure that SAP process flows are being adhered to maintain accuracy in shipping and inventories.
Work with the teams to develop and support a culture of continuous improvement and help the teams implement the initiatives they develop at the warehouse.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and with applicable laws.
  • Overseeing the training, planning, assigning, and directing of work.
    Complete performance reviews, reward/discipline employees, address complaints and resolve other personnel problems.

What you will do...

  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly reports for the department.
  • Support shift leads in their DDS meetings to help create/drive culture and performance.
  • Work with, Zollinger's leads and Richmond Shipping team to ensure required product is transferred as required.
  • Maintain warehouse fill rates, ship rates, forecasts and facilitate warehouse flow to achieve objectives.
  • Verify finished product receipts for accuracy and advise QA if dates need to be adjusted.
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities in Distribution/Planning and cooperate with other departments to support other continuous improvement projects.
  • Oversee all functions to ensure compliance with safety, code of conduct, food quality and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate inventories of miscellaneous operating supplies and route purchase requisitions.
  • Lead shift meetings 1-2 times per month, will require working on other shifts as needed.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
  • The successful applicant must possess the ability to lead change initiatives and guide both hourly and salaried employees to overcome resistance to organizational change as well as embrace change.
  • In addition, this individual must: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.
  • Learn and apply lean tools within department, remaining current with new lean concepts and methodologies, and make recommendations for cost reduction through the utilization of lean tools.

  • Develop and maintain rapport with employees at all levels of the Campbell Soup/Pepperidge Farm organization to drive results.
  • Maintain strong working relationships within the plant Distribution leadership structure.

What you bring to the table...

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years managing a team in a warehouse or manufacturing facility
  • Flexibility to work any shift and weekends as required.

It would be great to have...

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred..
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • 5+ years job related experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Forklift License and CDL preferred.
  • Production and Lean Manufacturing experience with green belt or black belt certification preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess math, logical/analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter, organized, flexible and results oriented.
  • Ability to comfortably make decisions based on the available information, which may be limited or not always available as it would be in an ideal situation.
  • Moderate physical effort required and must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$55,200-$79,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
