This position allows for an optional hybrid work arrangement which includes a combination of both in-office and remote work arrangements on a weekly basis. To be eligible for the program, employees must complete a minimum of 90 days of continuous employment, be in good standing, and agree to the terms of a Work from Home Agreement prior to being eligible for hybrid work. The employee's request is subject to supervisor approval. Work schedules will be established by the employee's supervisor according to business needs. Working locations and schedules may be altered at management discretion.

Position Summary

The Senior Business Services Analyst supports Launch Credit Union's (Launch) business banking activities. This includes opening business accounts, taking business credit cards applications, and assist management in overseeing the Treasury Services Program. Provides operational guidance to branch staff and serves as the first point of contact in the absence of the Business Services Manager. Serves as a subject matter expert and assists with complex business services situations. Mentors and trains Business Services Specialists.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties



  1. Serves as first point of contact for the Business Services team.
  2. Provides operational guidance to the business services specialists pertaining to business accounts, treasury services, and business credit cards. Serves as a mentor and trains business services specialist.
  3. Maintains an understanding of all business services products, policies, procedures, and regulations. Serves as primary contact and subject matter expert for procedural and operational questions. Handles complex questions and escalated concerns from members and other team members.
  4. Serves as an operational resource for Launch pertaining to business accounts and business lending activities. Assists with system setup and works with internal business partners to verify operations are established to support business member needs.
  5. Maintains knowledge of business entity types and corresponding documentation to verify accounts/loans are opened, maintained, and serviced appropriately.
  6. Opens business accounts including gathering and reviewing required documents, completes due diligence questionnaires, onboards new accounts into the core system and completes business account cards and agreements. Exercises exception making authority on account openings as needed.
  7. Acts as a relationship point of contact for business members. Answers questions, explains products/services and resolves issues. Deepens member relationships and ensures retention through superior service.
  8. Provides operational guidance to branch staff and team members in support of business accounts and business lending activities. Answers questions, provides training, and develops procedure manuals.
  9. Works with Launch partners and the business member to gather all required documents pertaining to loan requests, loan closing documentation and helps to coordinate loan closings, if needed.
  10. Prepares month-end reports along with any other correspondence as needed.
  11. Works with management to create strategies to deepen business member relationships. Recommends new products/services and assists with implementation.
  12. Maintains knowledge of regulatory standards and practices to ensure operational compliance. Stays abreast of changes to implement updates or correct any deficiencies.
  13. Assists with examiner/auditor requests and/or inquiries pertaining to business lending and deposit activities.
  14. Assists with maintaining loan files.


Other Responsibilities and Duties



  1. Manage the queue and distribute incoming work / requests to the team.
  2. Assists with department and credit union wide projects.
  3. Serves as first point of contact in the absence of the Business Services Manager for internal and external business services inquiries.
  4. Assists Business Services Manager to create, support and maintain legally compliant Business Services operations, policies and procedures.
  5. Assists with testing the area's Contingency and Disaster Recovery Plans.
  6. Develops, maintains, and demonstrates a working knowledge of Launch's standards, policies, procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal government rules.
  7. Collaborates with other departments to implement new initiatives, services and products to support Business Members.
  8. Follows and ensures compliance with all Launch policies and procedures.
  9. Completes assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
  10. Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills Required



  1. Minimum of five years' related business operations experience in the financial services industry.
  2. Prior risk assessment experience as well as experience servicing and / or establishing treasury management, business accounts and ancillary business services required.
  3. Knowledge of the various ways businesses can be structured.
  4. High school diploma or GED required.
  5. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions, and to recommend practical solutions.
  7. Ability to contribute to multiple projects with minimal direction/supervision, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Knowledge of interdependencies amongst financial services functions.
  9. Ability to champion and support best-in-class member service efforts.
  10. Ability to effectively collaborate with others and accept challenging assignments.
  11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
