HX5 is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to support the HNC Division at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analyze engineering data to support projects
Develop, design, and test engineering structures, systems, and materials
Perform inspections and evaluations to ensure quality and compliance
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently
Support standardization and production processes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize engineering solutions
Apply engineering principles across multiple disciplines to support project needs
Analyze and solve technical challenges efficiently using problem-solving techniques
Plan, schedule, and oversee engineering activities to ensure timely execution
Operate and manage engineering equipment, devices, and materials effectively
Standardize, test, and evaluate engineering solutions for accuracy and reliability
Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve system issues and optimize performance
Communicate findings, solutions, and updates clearly to stakeholders and teams
Maintain high standards of quality control through inspections and assessments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering processes
Education and Experience:
Must have the following education and experience:
Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
OR, Bachelor's Degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
OR, fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
