About the role: The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a subject matter expert responsible for collection, analysis and review of environmental data from Alcoa facilities, including the development and/or maintenance of environmental data reporting guidance, compilation of environmental data to support external disclosures and preparation of the Alcoa Sustainability report, as well as to support and improve Alcoa's global environmental programs, management system and processes. This role requires technical expertise and strong collaborative skills to ensure full engagement and support to locations, regions and global teams. Major activities:
- Collection, analysis and review of environmental data, including air, water and waste, from Alcoa facilities.
- Compilation of global greenhouse inventories, including Scope 1, 2 and 3, and their associated calculations, based on an understanding of greenhouse gas reporting conventions and requirements.
- Compilation of environmental data across all facilities to support the annual data consolidation for external disclosures and preparation of the Alcoa Sustainability report.
- Strong collaboration, training, support and coaching to facility and regional data stewards to ensure data accuracy and efficiency, and with data users and consumers.
- Based on input from stakeholders, development of environmentally related dashboards (including Power BI) with leading and lagging indicators for different levels into the organization, including operational and executive leadership team.
- Work with subject matter experts, to develop engaging content for Alcoa's global Environmental portal. Maintain environmental content within the portal to improve information accessibility.
- Provide support in development and maintenance of environmental standards, templates, training, and tools, including ASATs and environmental control field verification checklists.
- Increase overall engagement with E systems and generally drive continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Review and analysis of environmental incident data, including development and/or maintenance of reporting guidance, and support related to environmental incident underlying cause analysis reviews and learnings sharing.
- Development and maintenance of components of Alcoa's global environmental management system, programs and processes, enabling the organization to continue to plan for and meet ongoing expectations related to environmental management, reporting and disclosure in all operational regions.
- Support of environmental risk management prevention and mitigation programs, including monitoring the management of environmental risk via the Operational Risk Management program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at corporate, region, and location level to support continuous improvement and risk reduction and enhance Alcoa's overall environmental performance.
What you can bring to this role:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or environmental sciences.
- 3-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, including Scope 1, 2 and 3, and to support CBAM and other environmental data disclosures.
- Knowledge of environmental data analysis and compilation for purposes of internal and external reporting.
- Advanced user in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to assimilate and analyze information from a variety of sources, creating operational and executive dashboards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated experience developing positive and effective working relationships.

Base salary: $97,500 - $134,000 USD annually
Total rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies in conjunction with multiple components of the Employee Total Rewards Package.
