SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Marketing Intelligence that will lead the market intelligence function, providing insights that help guide executive decisions, business development, and long-term planning. This role sets the vision for market intelligence at Mortenson, oversees research operations, and manages a team of analysts. The Manager also conducts in-depth quantitative and qualitative research to uncover insights into customer experience, industry trends, and new opportunities that shape Mortenson's growth strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape and guide market intelligence to align with business goals
- Lead and mentor the Market Intelligence team
- Collaborate with leaders to integrate market perspectives into planning
- Set strategic direction for market and competitive intelligence
- Oversee research on economic trends and construction-specific indicators
- Monitor and interpret competitor strategies and market shifts
- Lead qualitative research to generate insights into customer needs
- Develop market forecasting models for strategic planning
- Translate data into strategic recommendations for market expansion
- Develop executive-level reports and dashboards for business development
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years in market intelligence, strategy, or business analysis in construction or built environment sectors
- Experience leading research initiatives and presenting to senior leadership
- Current driver's license
- Strategic thinking to connect market signals to business implications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
- Leadership experience in mentoring teams and fostering a collaborative culture
- Skilled in quantitative and qualitative research, presenting findings to executives
- Strong active listening skills and openness to diverse feedback
- Advanced Excel, CRM systems, Power BI, AI-driven tools, and collaboration tools proficiency; adaptability in learning new technologies
- Deep understanding of construction industry dynamics, trends, and regulations
- Ability to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this role is $116,000 - $174,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan. Please make note:
