Key Account Specialist (Remote) - CST/MST/PST

Utilize your GPO pharmaceutical sales experience for a unique remote engagement virtual sales role. This is a salaried position offering comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, long term/short term disability, wellness benefits, generous PTO, paid holidays and more. This person will cover all US time zones nationally. ideally Central or Eastern time preferred. Mountain or Pacific time zones will be considered. Oncology experience is preferred.

Role Summary:

The Key Account Specialist (KAS) is responsible for engaging access decision makers and clinical support staff within a Group Purchasing Organization (Targets) in telephone conversations to promote assigned client product(s), maximize the product(s)' selling potential and meet program and Client objectives. The KAS achieves this by developing and maintaining relationships with Targets and by educating them about product features, benefits, safety profile and approved indications to ensure appropriate patient use. The KAS utilizes approved tools for product and program promotion and maintains a competent level of product, program, and customer activity knowledge.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage daily call responsibilities according to defined expectations, with the purpose of achieving KPIs
  • On behalf of Client, promote Client's product(s) via outbound telephone calls by engaging assigned Targets in in-depth program discussions to attain individual, territory and company goals for sales, market share, etc.
  • Profile and manage list of contacts within each Target account and provide value-added benefits to grow product volume.
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics that are required by program.
  • Conduct outbound calls to Targets to appropriately qualify or disqualify Targets for performance-based contracts.
  • Verify and complete required data entry in CRM system, such as details of the target's responses and any follow-through actions
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology, and approved messaging.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Client product(s) and program(s).
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions.
  • Effectively collaborate with client's matrix team members to develop target account's understanding and utilization of product(s)
  • Create and maintain a positive impression with client and client's customers.
  • Fully comply with all laws, regulations, and Amplity Health Policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in teleconference and live (when required) National, regional and district meetings and training sessions and represent client at National and/or local conventions when applicable.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve sales goals
  • Drive overall efforts and account penetration
  • Other duties as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university or college required
  • A minimum of 1+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required 3+ years or more preferred
  • 1+ years of Buy and bill experience in pharma or med device preferred
  • Account contracting experience (preferred)
  • Oncology or rare disease experience (preferred)
  • Experienced utilizing digital meeting platforms including Zoom, Teams, and others
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to successfully complete client training and meet training expectations to proceed to servicing client's customers within the parameters of the program

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
