Overview

The Director of Finance, Waters Division Global FP&A will report to the Senior Director of Finance, Waters Division Global FP&A, helping to position Waters for success by providing relevant data and analysis to influence leadership decision-making and performance across the company's operations. The position will partner with Commercial, R&D and Finance leadership including WD finance business partners to drive major projects and processes within finance and operations. This highly visible role will interact with all levels across the organization while owning and driving the management of the Waters Division annual 5-year strategic plan, financial analytics, finance support for business decisions and Investor Relations talking points, and division/corporate-wide projects and initiatives. This leader will also take the lead on ad hoc CEO, CFO and EC nominated projects, looking to answer the key strategic and tactical questions facing the business during the year.



Responsibilities

    Partner with the WD Director of Strategy to drive the annual strategic planning process for Waters Division, by leading the financial modeling portion of the process with our WD finance business partners. Additional coordination with the Corporate Finance team is done to ensure WD consolidated projections are accurate and follow guidance as part of the Waters Corp rollup and fidelity into the key areas of the business
  • Lead finance projects within the company or division such as management reporting reorgs or integration of M&A targets, by collaborating with cross-functional teams to accomplish these goals
  • Oversee and drive strategic sub-initiatives within the WD AOP (annual operating plan) process, in collaboration with the WD Director of Finance, FP&A
  • Continuously seek to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of WD internal reporting
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly presentations in support of senior leadership meetings and board meetings
  • Ad hoc financial analysis including customer, market, product and regional data for Investor Relations
  • Ad hoc financial analysis nominated by the CEO, CFO and the President of the Waters Division to answer the key strategic and tactical questions facing the Company during the year.


Qualifications

  • BS in Finance with MBA preferred
  • 8-15 years experience, with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization
  • Very strong financial analysis and communication skills
  • High-level knowledge and understanding of current business and economic trends, and the ability to apply these insights to be able to understand potential impacts on the business
  • Operates with integrity, transparency and humility
  • Comfortable presenting to executives when/if needed
  • Acts as a true company owner to advance the overall interests of Waters
  • Carries a broad global perspective of markets, tech, and trends
  • Balances strategic thinking and accountability in execution to deliver results
  • Actively creates the conditions for Waters' people and teams to succeed
