To process drawback claims for existing clients, assessing the profitability of drawback for prospective clients and devising strategies to enhance the profitability of the client's drawback program. Advises prospective clients and existing clients regarding the advantages of employing drawback strategies. Maximize the clients drawback program by presenting strategies which can expand the opportunity for refunds. Contribute to product market share by directing and training T&B sales organization and account managers and by identifying target market segments. Enhance profitability for T&B through expansion of the client's program by recommending changes in process or additional drawback contracts. Ensure consistency of claim filing and compliance by formulating and maintaining policies and procedures related to drawback. Prepare, where necessary, drawback ruling requests to us customs and border protection (CBP) headquarters and other procedural requirements to local CBP drawback offices. Provide drawback operational information/advice on technical matters of drawback to other T&B offices by issuing memos, trade bulletins, and tradelines. Increase client base by engaging in outreach programs such as drawback seminars and presentations. Keep abreast of drawback issues and developments by maintaining a drawback reference library which is current and complete. This includes printed as well as electronic media. Ensure compliance within T&B by conducting periodic reviews of internal policies and procedures for the drawback product. Ensure the integrity of the claim filing process by conducting audits of claims submitted by T&B on a quarterly basis. Performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma/GED. Minimum three (3) years work experience preferred or in lieu of three (3) years of work experience, five (5) years of industry experience in one (1) or all of the following: drawback, customs brokerage, brokerage operations, cbp compliance/procedures. An individual customs broker's license preferred. Knowledge of all cbp regulations and laws pertaining to drawback, import entry requirements especially other duty free provisions, and nafta. Knowledge of import and export documentation, inventory and warehousing procedures, i.e. Fifo & lifo, bills of material and manufacturing documentation. Awareness of legislative changes regarding drawback and its impact on the client and T&B Preferred Qualifications: Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Location: This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Logistics office.
