Position Summary

Assist the Simulation Engineer by providing support in researching, testing and troubleshooting models and scenarios developed by the team.

Responsibilities


  • Model and Simulation event support running real-time warfighter driven mission threads within simulation tools such as NGTS and AFSIM
  • Provide support to ensure simulation systems are interoperable
  • Setup of simulation interfaces and environment
  • Provide troubleshooting of any errors in simulation execution
  • Assist with model or scenario development
  • Assist with debugging model interactions and agent behavior
  • Research platform capabilities in preparation for model development
  • Other Duties as assigned.



Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Education/Licensure/Credentials

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics or computational modeling, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills is required (e.g. mathematics, statistics, and probability)
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility

Required:


  • 3 years of professional experience with simulation-related programming language (e.g. C++, Python or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with simulation modeling concepts such as Agent-based modeling, Discrete Event simulation, Entity-based simulation or multi-agent system modeling.
  • Subject Matter Expert on Live Communication assets and integration for LVC event support.
  • Familiarity with live RF comm paths and emulators (EMANE, WASP as examples), an understanding of HLA, C4ISR systems like AEGIS, Minotaur, LMMT and JTT.



Preferred:


  • 1-3 years demonstrated technical experience with test, data analysis, integration, experimentation, Engineering expertise tasks in support of various IW, C4ISR, TDL, Multi-TDL and LVC events for experimentation, exercises, training in port and underway on ships, and Government test and evaluation facilities.
  • 1-3 years demonstrated technical experience with SoS Architectures and Architectural Experimentation for Joint Integrated Fires and Joint All Domain Warfare. This includes drafting, editing and reviewing documents such as Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) related to IW and C4ISR Systems including Link-16, BLOS, TTNT, and WAN
