Supports UIP Capex efforts, providing technical support for 2030 growth initiative, and leading sub-projects.
- Provides design support and oversee construction management for UIP Capex projects.
- Offers technical support for the 2030 growth initiative and lead sub-projects related to the 2030 plan.
- Acts as the primary liaison between UIP operations and the corporate engineering group to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provides field support for Capex and startup efforts, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Develops and implement a proactive maintenance program for UIP facilities to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Supports mergers and acquisitions (M&A) efforts with technical expertise and conduct field visits as required.
- Serves as the primary technical support for greenfield construction projects and large equipment additions.
- Troubleshoots technical and process issues for operations, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborates with KPC on plant upgrades and growth initiatives for treating plants.
- Must follow all procedures and policies established by Koppers Finance Department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10 years' experience required in technical management, project management, and construction management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and greenfield construction projects is a plus.
- Strong team player
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Self-starter and ability to work remotely.
- Must possess a strong entrepreneurial drive, track record of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership of work to meet monthly, quarterly and annual financial goals in a high growth organization.
- Must possess excellent presentation, writing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to create and deliver convincing arguments covering a broad range of complex issues.
- Willingness to travel 60%
