The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility seeks a Research Coordinator to provide executive support to Dr. Mark Hornstein (PI) in coordinating and managing research program activities. The Research Coordinator works under the general direction of and reports to the PI.
The Research Coordinator works independently and is responsible for all aspects of daily operations for the PRECiSE trial under the supervision of Dr. Mark Hornstein (PI). This individual will provide support for IRB protocols. Advises Dr. Mark Hornstein (PI) on policies, procedures, and regulations for BWH, Mass General Brigham, NIH and other relevant funding and regulatory agencies. Research issues as needed. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruits participants for the PCORI RCT Monitors data collection, project milestones and prepares progress reports to ensure meeting project deadlines Provides support for IRB protocols Performs administrative duties under minimal supervision at the highest proficiency level Executes the procedural, managerial and policy decisions of the PI Ability to problem solve and determine best course of action with little direction Act as a lead, assign and prioritize workflow, troubleshoot issues Manages projects, coordinates work, takes initiative using all available resources, follow through the issues when needed, applies knowledge as needed with little direction from Supervisor Coordinates meetings with collaborators and mentors, handles communications and various Outlook activities Assist with training and orienting staff as needed Follow HIPAA guidelines for the management of patient privacy and confidentiality Assists with research posters, presentations, and/or article submissions Draft letters of recommendation and/or evaluation and other written communication Assists in grant proposal applications Provide cross coverage as needed Other duties, as assigned See Addendum B QUALIFICATIONS: Level of education required: Bachelors required; Masters preferred Work experience required: 2-4+ years of experience with clinical trials required Recruiting experience for RCTs Project management experience Knowledge of Windows computers and applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
