How can you make an impact?

The Director of Global Payroll is responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across all international regions to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing of employee compensation. This role requires strategic leadership, deep expertise in global payroll systems, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with local, regional, and international regulations. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to align payroll processes with organizational goals and ensure a seamless employee experience.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a global payroll strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and supports scalability.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize payroll processes, systems, and technologies for efficiency and accuracy.

Operational Oversight:

  • Manage payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee wages, benefits, and deductions.
  • Oversee the integration of payroll systems with HRIS and financial systems to maintain data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

Team Management:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global payroll team, fostering professional development and collaboration.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for team members.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Monitor changes in global payroll regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate risks related to payroll processing and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payroll-related issues and ensure adherence to organizational policies.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with HR and Finance leaders to align payroll processes with broader organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies regarding payroll matters.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide detailed payroll reports and analytics to senior leadership, offering insights to support decision-making.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.

You would be responsible for the following: Hire, train, develop, and motivate a team of employees. Work with employees to establish annual goals and objectives. Conduct timely performance evaluations. Monitor and control team expenses.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of applicable experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in payroll management, with at least 3 years in a global payroll leadership role.
  • Expertise in international payroll systems, tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience with Workday required.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams across multiple regions.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones.

The pay range for this position is between $140,000- $160,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
