Now Hiring: Overnight Security Officer (Part-Time) - Smithfield Foods Facility (Omaha, NE)

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Overnight Security Officer for the Smithfield Foods plant, located at 2223 Industrial Rd, Omaha, NE. This role is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and prior access control experience.

Position Details:

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

• Employment Type: Part-Time

• Shift: Overnight, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

• Workdays: Wednesday and Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the facility during overnight hours

• Perform badge checks and verify all entrants meet clearance requirements

• Monitor alarm panels and respond to any security alerts or incidents

• Conduct perimeter patrols and ensure all doors and gates are secured

• Maintain accurate logs and reports of activity during shift

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Valid Driver's License that meets AU driver policy requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods

• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Access control and badge system use

• Alarm panel monitoring and response

• Previous security or safety-related experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
