The Admissions and Enrollment Department seeks a dedicated, dynamic, and experienced Associate Director of Admissions and Operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Admissions and Operations with an ability to own database and financial aid processes start to finish and contribute to analysis and improvement. Additionally, the Associate Director of Admissions & Operations must possess an enthusiastic commitment to the importance of building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable academic environment.

General Summary:

Under the general direction of the Assistant Head of School for Admissions and Enrollment, the Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for delivering a superior experience to applicant and enrolled families, managing information, keeping our database accurate and up to date, and designing and generating reports. This position is responsible for overseeing the documentation of all processes in our system, automated communications, and managing the financial aid processes for new and returning families. The Associate Director of Admissions must work well as a collaborative member of the Admissions team, conduct parent interviews and student tours, participate in all Admissions events, and partner with other internal teams helping to ensure a successful enrollment and re-enrollment process for families.

Essential Duties:

  • Contribute to strategic enrollment and comprehensive data-driven admissions by supporting admissions communications and marketing efforts, including documenting and reviewing key performance indicators, and writing/designing communications that will increase conversion rates.
  • Oversee the enrollment and re-enrollment processing lifecycle in the databases and all aspects of financial aid support for all families.
  • Serve as a system administrator for database platforms for admissions, enrollment and financial aid, and implement and maintain the processes and systems needed to support the applicant experience and data integrity with a focus on improvement.
  • Serve as lead strategist on how database is used to increase applicant pool.
  • Ensure compliance for all data related to student admissions and enrollment, collaborating with other school/operations staff as necessary.
  • Develop and execute outreach and outbound communications, deploying email and other campaigns of varying frequency and mechanisms, in collaboration with the team, to build admissions pipeline.
  • Provide robust reports and dashboards with summaries on application data as well as operational productivity.
  • Facilitate admissions by sending out admissions decision notifications, helping families complete the online enrollment process, and working with other departments to ensure a seamless transition from accepted to enrolled student.
  • Participate fully in all admission-related processes: parent interviews, parent and applicant tours, applicant visits.
  • Create an environment and interact with families in a way that is aligned with our school culture priorities.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities as appropriate to remain current with best practices.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required.
  • Master's degree or higher preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of Admissions experience, or relevant experience in data and operations in a related field.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete a background check.

  • Ability to create reports and study analytics as it relates to the Admissions funnel, especially regarding enrollment, yield and long term projections.
  • Ability to connect with a diverse range of families; excellent public relations skills; and deep consideration for the confidentiality that is crucial to admissions and enrollment processes.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with leading a project from beginning to the presentation of data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; strong statistical and analytical skills; adept in analyzing data and utilizing advanced technology to drive enrollment.
  • SchoolAdmin and Clarity experience is a plus.
  • Ability to follow all policies and procedures of the School as written in the employee and parent handbooks.
