Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced ECG monitoring with a focus on assessment of ECG strips and arrhythmia interpretation.
  • May also be responsible for monitoring of alerts from patient wearable devices, to include escalation to a Virtual RN.
  • Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize and monitor problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.
  • Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during code, continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, and interval measurements.
  • Appropriately responding to all monitor alarms.
  • Must be able to manage multiple technology platforms and develop collaborative relationships with other staff via remote platforms.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must complete the cardiac monitoring exam.
  • Ability to demonstrate arrhythmia recognition.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • One (1) year in specialty area, rhythm recognition skill set
