University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Position Summary:

The Admissions Coordinator (Licensed) is responsible for maintaining all program admits, step downs and discharges in MedSeries4 system, submitting charge sheets and census data to Central Business Office, participating in transportation coordination, serving as family and staff liaison, performing clerical duties for Physicians serving as a backup Program Therapist, and performing MHT duties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Screen for appropriate level of care and ensure all pre-admission and admission calls and paperwork are addressed and completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Completion of psychosocial assessments - Meet with the patient in the appropriate time frame to obtain psychosocial information and schedule all critical dates for appropriate follow up.
  • Discuss paperwork and program requirements with new admits.
  • Assure that all admission forms are completed accurately, and appropriate signatures are obtained. Notify the appropriate facility management of any potential problems related to admission.
  • Coordinate with business office regarding patient financial clearance for admission.
  • Coordinate with business office, inpatient clinical team and meet with potential step downs Complete documentation on step down patients and absences in MIDAS.
  • Answer intake calls and follow-up with no shows/absences.
  • Coordinate transportation for new and current patients.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree required.

Experience: 1 to 3 years related work experience preferred.

Licensure: LPC-Associate, LPC, LPC-S OR LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-S OR LMFT-Associate, LMFT, LMFT-S
