Overview
Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Accelerating the delivery of care and providing superior force health readiness across the Military, Federal, and Civilian landscapes. Taku is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas. Summary: The Contract Manager (CM) shall ensure performance under this contract. The CM or alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract. The CM shall work through the COR, (or the KO if a COR is not assigned), to resolve issues, receive technical instructions, and ensure adequate performance of services.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure that contractor employees do not perform any services outside the scope of the contract without an official modification issued by the KO.
- Shall ensure contractor employees understand that services performed outside the scope of the contract are performed wholly at the expense of the contractor.
- Designate and maintain an alternate CM with full authority to act in the primary CM's absence; both individuals must be officially documented and provided to the KO in writing.
- Exercise full authority to act on all matters related to the daily operations of the contract, including personnel management, service delivery, and performance reporting.
- Interface directly with the COR (or KO, if a COR is not assigned) to resolve operational issues, receive technical guidance, and ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Ensure contractor personnel receive and follow appropriate instructions and do not perform services outside the scope of the contract without a formally issued modification by the KO.
- Enforce internal controls that ensure unauthorized work is not performed and that all team members understand that out-of-scope services will be conducted at the contractor's own risk and expense.
- Monitor and ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all contractor-provided services under the CPI & IMS scope.
- Track and communicate key performance metrics, staff assignments, and deliverables to both internal leadership and Government stakeholders.
- Support the continuous improvement of contract operations in alignment with CPI principles and performance objectives.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and performance-based service contracting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing Government contracts, including direct experience working with CORs and KOs.
- Experience managing performance and compliance across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP certification.
