Job Description
The Production Training Coordinator will organize, facilitate, and deliver training programs for front-line operators in the Blow Mold, Downstream and Injection areas. This individual will also provide support to subject matter experts in the coordination and alignment of Safety, Quality and Forklift/logistics training initiatives.
Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities
- Works and supports subject matter experts and trainers. May have a number of colleagues directly reporting to this job: 3-4
- Directs and supports department specific trainers on the timely implementation, evaluation and testing of employee in the Levels Program with concentration on Levels I through III as an avenue to Level IV
- Converse with trainers, management and new hire operators in a professional manner, both verbally and written that gains their respect while training them on proper Amcor procedures.
- Effectively develops curriculum based training programs that address the evolving needs of the site and plans and organizes the implementation of such training.
- Works in partnership with operations to meet the training needs of the site regarding production demands ,identifies vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develops and creates training materials that align with sites levels program
- Creates daily touch points with trainers and leadership to ensure continuity of training from onboarding, levels completion and annual/continuing educations
- Ensures training levels are completely signed off and submits training completions to HR for step in grade training increases.
- Works closely with HR, Safety, Quality and Operations in addressing performance issues with review of corrective actions, assessment of skills and remediation training to ensure optimal performance measures.
- Works with outside resources including colleges and trade schools to secure advanced training programs if/when necessary.
- Maintains the tracking and training records for all sites associates to include 30, 60 and 90 day score cards of new hires.
- Supports Operations in the performance review process and provides information on actual performance when needed.
- Works with PA WEDNET program on grant reimbursement opportunities
What We Want From You
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- 5 years or experience and AA degree in Education or certification in Training and Development or a combination of experience and education.
- Experience within Microsoft Office Products
- A strong work ethic, reliable, trustworthy, have the capacity and willingness to learn, can contribute new ideas, respect their co-workers and understand the importance of working together as a team
- Solid understanding of plant and safety quality standards to include good manufacturing practices
- Forklift Training Certified

Work Environment: Plant Manufacturing Setting ; requires PPE such as safety glasses, head protection, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes. As well as hair and beard nets. Downstream department is not temperature controlled, can be as cold as approximately 40 degrees or as hot as approximately 100 degrees.
