What you will do

As a Service Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing software and hardware support related to all end-user technical issues, including imaging new devices, Windows troubleshooting, Outlook email support, network hardware configuration and support, and new user software installation and configuration. You may also be responsible for providing basic server support, such as adding, deleting or moving users. You will install and configure applications and operating system software, as well as troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and network connectivity issues. You will work with users, resolve issues and provide detailed documentation via the ticketing system while providing exceptional face-to-face service and promoting end-user satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for removing old equipment, migrating data to new machines, and managing equipment inventory.

What you need

  • 3+ years' experience with desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft O365
  • 3+ years' experience with hardware and network peripheral support (network printers, scanners, switches, and cabling)
  • 3+ years' experience with Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) or Azure AD
  • Experience in set-up, configuration, use, troubleshooting, and recommendation of desktop and laptop computers
  • Experience with VPN and hybrid work technologies

Would be nice

  • Hardware vendor certification
  • PaperCut printing infrastructure familiarity
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • Apple macOS configuration and administration
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and InTune
  • Help Desk (HAD) MCDST A+ certification or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Copilot and general AI GPT familiarity
  • Network+ Certification

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $47,000-$58,750 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at NRC Health, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package. Candidates must live in the Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas.
