The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine is the global leader in innovative integrative education, evidence-based clinical practice, and influential research since its establishment in 1994. We are in search of a Financial Analyst who will support the finance operations of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine (AWCIM). The position is involved in managing accounts for AWCIM, provides post-award services related to grants management, and is a key contributor to the success of the Business Team and its mission; committed to being responsive, courteous, professional and efficient.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs
    primary expense/revenue reconciliation and monthly financial reporting,
    including UAccess analytics.
  • Verifies
    and monitors internal financial transactions and assists with tracking
    external commitments.
  • Performs
    basic data collection for funding plans, helps prepare documentation, and
    assists with reconciling budget information.
  • Assist
    leadership with developing and managing funding plans, annual budgeting
    and forecasting analysis.
  • Performs a variety of transactional
    responsibilities; including but not limited to UAccess Financials and
    University of Arizona Foundation; submission of requisitions, electronic
    payment claims, internal billing, DVs, deposits. This involves pulling
    data, organizing financial information, and preparing basic summaries to
    support financial tracking.
  • Organizes spending data, prepares summary reports, and identifies potential spending patterns, to assist supervisor in the P-Card management process.
  • Utilizes AWCIM platform to gather payment data and prepare summary reports to support contractor and other business office processes.
  • Serve as a back-up on submitting surplus requests and tracking equipment by gathering equipment usage information and preparing basic summaries to support financial tracking.
  • Supports directors and managers by performing general analysis including the review and monitoring of departmental/grant/contract/contractor activity, budgets and balances for appropriate spending and compliance with policies and regulations of various agencies in addition to UA policies and regulations using basic knowledge of accounting skill.
  • Provides support in management of grants & contracts, ensuring alignment with contract budget and scope of work as determined by the sponsor/contract.
  • Document updates to procedure files, contact lists, donor tracking, other as needed. File correspondence, deposits, other supporting documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in healthcare administration or higher education administration.
  • Experience using UAccess administrative systems.
