Position Highlights |
The Health Equity Analytics Lab (HEALab) is seeking a full-time research technician III to support its research initiatives. The research technician III will be responsible for participant recruitment and scheduling (in both Spanish and English), data collection and management, IRB submissions and regulatory compliance, and coordination with research staff and external collaborators. This role also includes providing logistical and administrative support to research assistants and graduate students to ensure smooth project execution and day-to-day lab operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in psychological and behavioral research.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Coordinate and implement all phases of human subjects research, including IRB submissions, amendments, and continuing reviews; monitor study timelines and proactively address barriers to progress.
- Recruit, screen, and schedule participants based on eligibility criteria; conduct in-person data collection (English and Spanish), including informed consent, surveys, interviews, psychological assessments, and clinical measures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage study data and materials, including preparation of recruitment flyers, consent forms, and data tools; maintain secure data records using REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar platforms; oversee data entry, quality control, and preliminary organization.
- Supervise and train undergraduate research assistants in study procedures and ethical conduct; coordinate communication with IRBs, grant offices, and external collaborators.
- Support research outputs, including literature reviews, study protocol development, dissemination activities, and preparing data for analysis and interpretation.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
- Experience with research involving human subjects, particularly in behavioral or psychological studies.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Experience with R Statistical Software and data management.
