Overview

Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Technical SME supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I).

The SE&I Division serves as the principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the NC3 Enterprise within the Department of Defense. As the lead NC3 Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) arm of the NC3 Enterprise Center, the division applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices and translates mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions. SE&I also has the responsibility to apply established standards, and, when necessary, develop new standards, to ensure seamless interoperability across the NC3 enterprise. The SE&I is comprised of 3 branches:

    Enterprise Sustainment & Evolution
  • Enterprise Performance & Capabilities
  • Enterprise Mission Management


Responsibilities

  • Assess and identify opportunities and technological capabilities across the NC3 Enterprise, interface with industry, DoD mission partners and academia and provide specific recommendations for the NEC SE&I (e.g., reports, papers, briefings).
  • Provide high-level radio frequency communication systems subject matter expertise, including terrestrial and satellite communication systems, and associated technologies to support the NC3 Enterprise.
  • Apply principles, methods, and expertise of radio frequency communications to provide functional systems analysis of RF applications and effective RF implementation within the operational environment.
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation (charts, graphs, presentations) in the application of engineering and threat impact assessments for development, evaluation, and sustainment of RF electronic systems.
  • Assess new technologies and innovations to develop technical recommendations that ensure the integrity and continuity of operations supporting evolving NC3 requirements.
  • Provide RF technical expertise to the NC3 enterprise regarding signal propagation, modeling and simulation, test and design, and system development.


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have a minimum of a TS and be able to obtain a TS with SCI eligibility

*will nominate for SCI on a case by case basis with a minim of a TS at time of application

Education: Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Years of Experience: 10 years experience
Additional Experience:

  • Providing extremely high-level subject matter expertise for work described in the task.
  • Providing advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems for effective implementation.
  • Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific task order requirements.
  • Providing advice on esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Designing and preparing technical reports, studies, and related documentation, making charts and graphs to record results, preparing and delivering presentations, training, and briefings as required by the task order.

Pay Range

USD $185,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
