Overview

Apogee is looking for a talented Financial Analyst to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA DE&C). This high-impact position will provide audit and FIAR support enabling Army response to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). DASA DE&C's mission is to manage the US Army's Security Assistance and Armaments Cooperation programs that engage allies and partners across the full spectrum of Army acquisition to achieve force dominance.

This is a full-time opportunity in at Arlington, VA.



Responsibilities

    Supports the facilitation of Army response to Government Accountability Office (GAO), DoD Inspector General (IG), and audit data calls.
  • Create and maintain a tracker and repository of all GAO and IG inquiries and help ensure any resulting action are pursued for resolution.
  • Perform auditing in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Government Auditing Standards and FIAR.
  • Coordinate and review requirements levied by DoD IG, GAO, and DSCA Security Assistance Audit Readiness Board.
  • Support DSCA's pursuit of audit readiness for five Assemble Units; Appropriations Received/Case Acceptance (DIFS OA); Contract Pay, Civilian Pay, Reimbursable Work Orders; and Vendor Pay.


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Education: Bachelor's accounting degree
Years of Experience: 8 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of experience auditing in the DoD using generally accepted accounting principles and performed in compliance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.

Additional Experience:

  • Knowledgeable on DoD, DoD Directive 5230-series, and Army regulations
  • Effective, efficient written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
  • Open to occasional travel
