Supply Chain Specialist Job Purpose: North America Regional Supply Chain Management -AGILITY Facilitate and administer the agility program for North America plants. Selected candidate will work to ensure that corporate and departmental goals for agility are met. Nature of Duties:
- Responsibilities include the selection of new agility candidates and suppliers, corresponding RFQ's and price/terms negotiations as needed.
- Individual must be experienced in supply chain.
- Position requires person to be a professional, self motivated person with excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability in identifying customers and strategic suppliers not participating in agility programs and work toward agility implementation and/or the negotiation of agility agreements with suppliers.
- Candidate will possess excellent problem solving skills in order to resolve a wide range of issues involving plant and/or supplier inquiries, complaints, or special requests.
- Timely, accurate, and thorough communication through telephone, email, and face to face meeting with the plants, management, and suppliers to understand and resolve any business or customer issues hindering the expansion of the agility program is critical.
- Collaborate with management, EDI Business Team and GSM Team to continually work to improve agility processes.
- Candidate will be required to develop and report agility related metrics and analysis.
Education/Experience:
- Excellent negotiation skills are a must
- Bachelor degree required
- 1 year of Supply Chain/Procurement experience
- Must be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Oracle experience a plus
- understanding of all agility programs and concepts is helpful
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, as required
