Position Summary

The Inpatient Pharmacy Services Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the day-to-day operations and compliance of the Department of Pharmacy. They are responsible for Pharmacy operations including, but not limited to, pharmacy related automation, workflow optimization, budgetary compliance, and operations accountability. In addition, they are responsible for regulatory compliance activities including, but not limited to, cleanroom and hazardous drug procedure compliance and maintenance of the 340B discount drug program. The Pharmacy Manager will collaborate with Pharmacy staff members to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care. They will also collaborate with various Departments of Nursing, Physicians, and Medical Center Administration in various aspects of their duties. This Manager will lead local Pharmacy projects and participate in campus and system-wide initiatives as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

* Directs the day-to-day operations of the Department of Pharmacy

* Ensures compliance with laws and regulations

* Demonstrates leadership skills that positively contribute to the Medical Center and to the Health system

* Ensures optimal departmental operations and highest quality of pharmaceutical care

* Identifies, conducts, and/ or leads performance improvement projects

* Exercises appropriate budgetary management

• Educates Inpatient Pharmacy employees and students

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
