Department Summary The Registrar's Office support students by offering a variety of student services, i.e., registration, degree awarding/verification, official transcripts, and VA certifications. Our duty is to maintain integrity of our students' academic records. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Registrar, the Assistant Director will serve as a team leader ensuring quality in the daily operations of the Registrars Office. The Assistant Director oversees a variety of specialized duties related to student registration, degree audit, graduation processing, transcripts, reporting, confidentiality student records, and other student records functions. In addition, this position involves working independently toward general and specific results, devising new work methods, updating and streamlining data and processes on a number of electronic technological platforms, and meeting new conditions necessitating a high degree of ingenuity, initiative, and/or judgment and performs related duties included in this position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and five or more years' of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated competency in administering services and operations in a college/university environment, including demonstrated skill in problem solving and change management. Knowledge of hiring, developing, supervising, and evaluating staff. Commitment to providing high-quality customer service. Ability to work in a collaborative results oriented environment. Consistently exercises initiative, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Evaluates and resolves problems. Establishes, motivates, and supports effective teams to meet objectives. Manages conflict, works collaboratively within office and with other university departments. Current knowledge of Federal educational laws and policies pertaining to education records. Ability to effectively use computer and information technology. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters Degree.
