Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager with both conventional and special operations aviation rotary wing experience to support our customer at a large-scale military production facility in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will be a business operations and logistics expert, capable of managing complex operational tasks and evaluating business systems for efficiency and improvement.

The successful candidate will lead efforts to inventory, evaluate, and streamline existing business systems, while also managing the day-to-day administrative operations. Key responsibilities include developing implementation plans, coordinating with stakeholders, preparing reports and briefings, and supporting the SOFSA program's internal tasking processes.

This role demands excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the confidence to work with leadership across all levels of the organization.

Key Duties Include:

    Inventory and assess existing business applications for functionality and future viability.
  • Develop a prioritized application list and a timeline for implementation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all taskings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Assign tasks to appropriate team members based on expertise and availability.
  • Coordinate with leadership to align organizational actions, policies, and resources.
  • Draft clear, concise, and accurate communications, including reports, emails, executive summaries, and military briefs.
  • Respond to staff inquiries related to task status and extensions.
  • Provide onboarding and procedural training to new personnel.
  • Support the preparation of the Monthly Program Status Report, ensuring timely collection of inputs and editing for clarity and grammar.
  • Foster strong relationships across departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 15-years of experience in DoD operations, logistics, and production control.
  • Experience with task management software and electronic document management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the DoD's tasking process, including the use of official correspondence and communication channels.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Teams as a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with SOF systems and technologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD workflow procedures.
  • Experience working in an Army Program Executive Office.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
