Primary Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with our Directed Spend products to create Approved Product Lists (APLs) which will be used as building blocks for our consumer-facing purses
  • Think strategically about how our APL capability fits with market demand from our consumers and clients across broad industries such as Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and employer benefit segments
  • Work on 0 to 1 product build for new benefits including considerations for consumer experience, compliance, operationalization, and client fit
  • Complete feature analysis, elicit, translate, and simplify requirements and turn into artifacts including functional design documents, technical requirements, use cases, developing test plans and test cases, conducting testing, overseeing training and procedural documentation, and managing implementations
  • Interface with various stakeholders when developing requirements including IT, Operations, Client Service, and the Product Strategy team
  • Proactively seek and implement process improvements including analyzing data trends to identify opportunities through internal & external system/process enhancements
  • Analyze product issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop effective solutions that meet end user and client business requirements
  • Assist product or project manager in documenting requirements and implementing new strategic features or functionality
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional product or project teams
  • Identify financial, operational or compliance risks and establish controls to mitigate risks
  • Support Client Service as needed during client implementations
  • Support Operations Analysts in trouble-shooting complex issues and well as supporting with evening coverage
  • Cross-train to support other Analysts with their products as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in an Analyst position or analytical role
  • Experience developing software product test schedules, reviewing testing plans, tracking test issues and reporting on test results
  • Proven understanding of project management and testing methodology and procedures
  • Proven technical skills including database/SQL queries, workflow analysis/definition and writing technical documentation



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience within fintech, product information management (PIM), or healthcare benefits
  • Experience leading 0 to 1 product launches cross-functionally
  • Proven detail, analytical, and results oriented skills with the ability to synthesize data to define system requirements
  • Proven excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work days in our Eden Prairie, MN, office as needed to collaborate with the team



Travel Requirement:



  • This position does not require frequent travel

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
