Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Role

As Strategic Sourcing Manager, you'll lead procurement strategy for high-performance marine and power generation systems. You'll design sourcing frameworks, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost optimization across complex supply chains. This role demands a sharp analytical mind, a bias for action, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight. You'll be the architect of scalable systems that support long-term growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for marine engine components, power generation equipment, and MRO services
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and reliability
  • Monitor supplier performance and mitigate procurement-related risks
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and international trade laws
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing with operational goals
  • Lead and develop a team of three (Purchasing Lead and 2 Buyers)
  • Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives across the supply chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in marine, power generation, or industrial MRO
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Infor/Syteline), Power BI, and MS Dynamics
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain certifications (CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent)
  • Experience with global suppliers and international trade regulations
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems
