Job Summary Develops and supervises the administration of teacher and district administrator performance evaluations. Designs, implements, and coordinates support to school-based personnel. Essential Functions 1. Supervises and trains assigned staff, conducts performance appraisals, makes employment and discipline recommendations, and coordinates work assignments 2. Supervises the design, delivery, follow through, and evaluation of professional development for teachers (novice and experienced), mentors, and administrators who support instructional personnel. 3. Identifies job groups needing evaluation tools and develops appropriate performance plans in conjunction with collective bargaining units. 4. Assists with the development of employee evaluation instruments and applicable performance plan measures or as part of teacher support. Provides district training on teacher and administrator evaluations systems. 5. Provides support to schools regarding instructional personnel performing at less than satisfactory levels. 6. Aligns the Teacher Induction with the District Strategic Plan and district initiatives. Align Cadre work with the Coaching Academy goals for school instructional coaches. 7. Serves as a district contact with FL DOE regarding employee evaluation systems. 8. Participates in collective bargaining on evaluations and components of performance pay and matters concerning personnel evaluations. 9. Assists with updates to the district's Alternative Certification Program as required by the Florida Department of Education and communicates revisions to appropriate staff 10. Monitors and reviews formative and summative employee evaluation data and provides feedback to inform professional development recommendations. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred. Experience: Three (3) years successively responsible administrative experience in Human Resource Services, teacher certification, or school-based administrative experience. Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education certificate in Administration and Supervision or Educational Leadership, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
