KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Engineer I, Security Engineering to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the architecture, engineering, and deployment of security tools and security policies; evaluate the current endpoint security architecture and engineering as well as develop action plans to enhance them in accordance with industry best practices and standards
  • Contribute to the organization's overall technology plan, ensuring that specific technologies integrate seamlessly with other aspects of the technical infrastructure and ecosystem; collaborate effectively with various technology teams and vendors to deliver comprehensive endpoint security solutions
  • Maintain extensive technical and business knowledge of current industry trends and directions; drive delivery of technology and products in the roadmap on time and with the highest quality
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to execute plans and procedures; ensure adherence to the product development process, performance, and budget targets; give last-tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventive measures; design system configurations, oversee system installations, and define, document, and enforce system standards
  • Understand the operations and architecture of security engineering and suggest ways to improve productivity and visibility through automation; collaborate closely with internal End User Computing and Engineering teams to gather requirements and develop/deploy appropriate tools
  • Offer training and guidance to other members of the Security Engineering team
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience deploying and managing Microsoft Defender on various endpoints, including servers, workstations, macOS, iOS, and VDI
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Entra, Intune, and Microsoft Defender Security Center; knowledge of cyber security best practices and basic principles
  • Experience with deploying and monitoring CrowdStrike endpoint protection solutions to ensure real-time security against advanced cyber threats; ability to create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using PowerBI to analyze security trends, incident patterns, and system vulnerabilities
  • Demonstrated experience with developing, documenting, and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Capability to manage multiple security projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to timelines, while balancing day-to-day operational duties; capacity and desire to engage in continuous learning and adapt to new security challenges, while identifying opportunities for improving security posture and operational efficiencies
