Job Description

Specific Responsibilities:

TEL is seeking an action-oriented Senior Business Manager responsible for leading a team that is responsible for the development and execution of an IT vision and strategy with IT Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for infrastructure projects and solutions aligned to business goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but aren't limited, to the following activities:

The Day to Day (Responsibilities):

  • Research and evaluate emerging technology.
  • Understand and translate business objectives into hardware and software requirements.
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Monitor infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization in resources, budget, and assets.
  • Communicate IT issues and updates to management on a timely basis.
  • Deliver IT services to meet business needs.
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems and processes and procedures.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Manage a diverse team of individual contributors.
  • Collaborating with teams to establish security measures and controls.

Must Haves (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's and/or Advanced Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience.
  • Previous experience managing large capital and operational budgets.
  • Experience with user communities, technical customers, and/or business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring, trending analysis, and analytic-based decision making

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
