email JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
This position assumes the responsibilities of performing shore side repairs of Foss vessels, shoreside equipment and facilities. The primary focus is that of effective time management, applying and maintaining safe work practices, management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials, proper utilization of resources, and strategic planning that lends itself to absolute minimum down-time of Foss equipment. Associated skills required are the ability to perform accurate diagnostic evaluations and service/repair recommendations. A high level of cost sensitivity and professionalism is required, as the position will occasionally require serving as owner's representative. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of five years of mechanical experience is required. Intimate working knowledge of the operation, care and maintenance of marine and industrial machinery.
