Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: The Manager of Affiliate Marketing manages day-to-day channel operations and supports the adidas NAM business objectives to drive high quality traffic to the US website, with a focus on generating incremental revenue and ROI. This position will utilize digital expertise to develop a profitable channel across the full marketing funnel supporting adidas.COM, the adidas app ecosystem, and Retail DTC. The role has a primary focus on eCommerce revenue but will also support key stakeholders in Brand Marketing, NCAA, and other US-based colleagues to fully exploit all opportunities in driving profitable incremental channel growth. Together with the broader US DTC Marketing and the Global Performance Media teams, this role will help position this channel as a NAM-based center of excellence, educating and supporting internal stakeholders. It is expected to contribute to our global best practice guidelines and standards with original input from the key US market. The Manager of Affiliate Marketing will be responsible for budget oversight of a portfolio of key partners, execution of campaigns and channel operations, and will also manage a direct report. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Management of day-to-day Affiliate Marketing operations with partners/networks to meet channel KPIs and customer acquisition goals, definition of the Affiliate Marketing media calendar (closely aligned to the local Marketing Activation calendar) and optimization of media campaigns * Responsible for top and bottom-line growth of our affiliate program to achieve incremental sales, ROI and total contribution goals within a fixed budget * Management of a book of commerce publishers (including Buy-Now-Pay-Later, Loyalty Cashback, Coupon/Deal, and Content Commerce) maximizing sales growth within a target ROI * Management of NIL Affiliate Marketing support collaborating with external agency, BUs, and college athletes to support full-funnel marketing campaigns * Management of external agency relationship as the key contact and translation of the overall strategy across markets (Canada), and across the marketing funnel * Developing and maintaining long-term effective relationships with our key affiliate publishers, and proactively establishing new opportunities with new or existing partners * Work cross-functionally with eCommerce, One Media, Brand Communications, and Analytics teams to create synergies and explore and exploit opportunities to tell our priority Brand stories, drive acquisition, and evolve our app space * Analysis and synthesis of channel data to drive testing, reporting, and optimization of affiliate marketing performance to identify key levers and opportunities for improvements * Contribution to the development of the adidas US eCommerce affiliate marketing strategy * Collaboration with the Global Performance Media Marketing team and the EU & LATAM Affiliate & B2B Managers in order to share best practices and apply learnings from other markets around the globe * Process improvement to automate reporting and analysis and improve channel efficiency * KPIs: affiliate marketing incremental revenue and ROI KEY RELATIONSHIPS: * adidas US eCom team, NAM DTC Marketing (all channels, especially paid and organic search), Merchandising, Brand Communications and Analytics * Global Performance Media team, EU & LATAM Affiliate Marketing managers, Global Product Owners (incl. App teams). * Affiliate network, affiliate agency and publishers * Local US based Brand/Digital Marketing, SPOMA and EIM teams KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Creative in exploring new opportunities in order to drive more incremental sales through the affiliate marketing channel * Brand enthusiast who understands where adidas should create online buzz * Ability to effectively manage 3rd party external agencies & other partners * A solid network in the affiliate marketing industry is beneficial * Experience with web analytics and adserving platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and DoubleClick Campaign Manager). * Aanalytical, logical and data driven * Motivated by testing and learning, evolving and improving the channel, and building your own channel knowledge and experience * An interest in exploiting technology (feeds, scripts and the like) to automate and scale key processes * Experience and interest in managing and motivating others, both directly and indirectly * An interest in working with internal stakeholders and external agencies to establish efficient and scalable processes * Strong English language (written and verbal) communication skills * Good relationship building skills; an ability to create rapport * Strong time management, planning and organizational skills * Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines * Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills * Advanced computer skills, proven experience in Excel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor or Masters degree required, 3-5 years in ecommerce and 2-3 years online marketing experience (acquired either agency, network or client side) * Affiliate marketing experience is beneficial, but not required. Strong analytical and commercial skills are the priority.
