Hourly Pay Range:

$57.69 - $75.77 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

A Brief Overview:
As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant women. You will collaborate closely with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of both mothers and newborns.

What you will do:

  • Providing comprehensive prenatal care, including physical assessments, prenatal education, and addressing the medical and emotional needs of expectant mothers.
  • Attending births, assist with labor and delivery, and manage any complications or emergencies that may arise during childbirth.
  • Offering postpartum assessments and support, including breastfeeding assistance, emotional care, and monitoring for any post-birth complications.

  • Collaborating with obstetricians, neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  • Educating patients about pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care, including family planning and breastfeeding support.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and care plans.
  • Participating in community outreach and education programs related to women's health and midwifery care.
  • Advocating for evidence-based practices and the promotion of natural childbirth options when appropriate.

What you will need:

  • License:Advanced Practice Provider (CNM) Licensure in the State of IL required;FederalDEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
  • Education:Completion of Master's level program in specialty area.
  • Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) - American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) Required
  • Certification:BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA)
  • Experience:3 Years Experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife in a clinical setting preferred.
