* May conduct data collection and coordinate the flow of study data and review data for quality control and routine data inspections and cleaning protocols. * Consistently demonstrates support for compliance in the performance of job duties and responsibilities by a) developing and maintaining knowledge of, and performing job functions in compliance with, rules, regulations, policies, and statutes that affect his/her job; b) maintaining knowledge of and performing job functions in compliance with MedStar Health and research policies and procedures; and c) reporting compliance concerns in an appropriate and timely manner. * Coordinates and conducts data extraction from clinical and research databases (e.g., patient safety reporting system, Vizient database, patient satisfaction survey database, others as defined by protocol). * Coordinates protocol implementation and document processing. * Maintains project documentation, track progress on projects, and work with research program director and principal investigators to overcome barriers. * Participates in preparation of literature reviews, proposals, manuscripts, project reports, presentations of study design and findings, and toolkits for dissemination. * Participates in study team meetings and departmental team meetings as appropriate. * Works with the program director and/or the study investigators to develop project data collection forms, surveys, processes and procedures, study manuals, and data analysis and tracking systems. * Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and business unit in community outreach efforts. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams and maintains effective working relationships with other departments.
* Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, or healthcare related field. * Master's degree Preferred * 3 or more years' experience in a healthcare setting. * Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with excellent time management skills. * Must possess strong communication and writing skills and must be able to work independently and as part of a team. * Requires a strong working knowledge of MS word, power point, and excel. * Experience in Concierge Medicine, Executive Health, or Sports Medicine Preferred * Ability to analyze challenging and complex healthcare issues and opportunities and be proactive in proposing/implementing solutions. * Applies independent judgment to program development and employ independent decision making solving real life challenges and identifying gaps and program needs. * Communicates effectively with multiple audiences using a variety of formats. * Examples include: written communications to physicians, staff and other stakeholders that clearly outline the situation and action items; verbal presentations and briefings to the operations managers, senior leaders and other parties; presenting at meetings and to outside groups regarding a variety of issues * Seeks increased responsibility and is responsive to issues and concerns as they arise.
