The HVAC Mechanic performs and assists in any necessary repairs and maintenance of HVAC/Piping Systems. The Mechanic works closely with the Building Automated System (BAS) controls team to achieve maximum efficiency from HVAC equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
* Performs basic on-demand electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, safety, and other miscellaneous maintenance duties.
* Maintains safe and clean machine rooms as assigned by the manager.
* Performs preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation and efficiency of all HVAC equipment as assigned by manager to minimize failures.
* Tracks preventative and on-demand maintenance and equipment failures to establish trends on HVAC equipment.
* Completes assignments such as basic electrical, plumbing, steam, HVAC, medical gas, safety, and other miscellaneous duties in the maintenance field.
* In the event of an equipment failure, diagnoses and initiates corrective action and resources necessary to ensure immediate repair and return to service.
* Coordinates with vendors and contractors on various projects and permits.
Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience
- Three (3) years healthcare, industrial, or commercial HVAC experience.
- Equivalency
- Completion of apprenticeship in related field will substitute for the HVAC certification.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range: $26.99 to $40.48
