Position summary:
MannKind Corporation has an opening for an Associate Director, Trade repor
ting into the Head of Patient Access, Reimbursement & Trade. This position is responsible for partnering with Market Access leadership for the development and successful implementation of the organizational trade strategy and operating budget, as well as providing subject matter expertise to the broader MannKind sales organization.
Principal responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and evaluate Trade Channel strategic plans with Wholesaler and SPP's (specialty pharmacies) that ensure the growth and profitability of Afrezza and pipeline
- Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with all trade customers and vendors as required
- Develop and manage the strategy and work cross-functional with Sales and Managed Markets on the implementation and execution of the strategy
- Manage the Trade Channel activity of Afrezza and pipeline of products to drive optimal results and sustainable future growth
- Closely work in a collaborative environment across all internal groups which include Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Reimbursement, HUB Services, Finance and Manufacturing
- Identify opportunities to enhance sales of products, support marketing initiatives, and generally support MannKind products
- Maintain compliant practices to develop and lead the execution of market access strategies and initiatives
- Create and update account plans and customer influence mapping to meet changing market demands
- Provide internal consulting regarding opportunities/issues and strategies for growth of MannKind products and act as a subject matter expert in partnership with local sales colleagues to drive business
- Report and manage all pricing changes through Compendia as well as all trading partners
- Manage all government price reporting
- Complete required trainings within designated timeline
- Represent MannKind in a professional manner at market access industry conferences
- Operate in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance
- Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.

Education and Experience Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree BA/BS degree in a scientific field, business or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience
- Prior experience in account management, trade, reimbursement, pricing, contract strategy, managed care sales, payer marketing or related roles ideal
- Current relationships with major players (ABC, Cardinal and McKesson) highly desired
- Proven track record for securing and improving product access and demonstrating pull through success
- Skilled in identifying healthcare business trends
- Proven abilities to drive and produce results
- Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing skills and be able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Strong analytical skills necessary
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Up to 75% travel required; must have a valid driver's license
