Security Officer - Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining clear communication with team members. You will contribute to a positive environment by upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and working collaboratively with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and adherence to protocols.
• Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site guidelines.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
