Job Title: Records Analyst

Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 3 + months

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | 40 hours/week



Summary

We are looking for someone who has experience in following a company document retention policy, works with classification of documents, and is able to communicate company objectives to various levels of management within Honda to achieve our goals. They also need to be able to communicate with IT teams the policy and retention requirements as we are working with many IT project teams to ensure appropriate measures are in place for managing the documents.

Records Analyst - Performs records and information management work, evaluating, reviewing, recommending, updating, and supporting an established records and information management program to ensure compliance with policy due to organizational changes and to work with IT project teams on the implementation of new IT systems to ensure content is classified, PII data is identified and being handled correctly, as well as appropriate retention periods are used.

Responsiblities

Under general supervision, is responsible for supporting Records Management with established processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data processing, and advanced Excel spreadsheet formula experience as well as PowerBI. This role will involve analyzing large datasets, creating detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.

  • Conduct information gathering sessions with key contacts from each department to review and inventory the documents which the department is responsible for creating and/or maintaining
  • Create and/or modify the document retention schedule for each department
  • Coordinate and confirm system updates are completed correctly
  • Assist with physical inventory remediation (review documentation, classify documents per the document retention schedule, and identify department responsible for documents)
  • Assess IT systems and ensure that all records are properly managed and retained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros
  • Must be able to manage their own project load, multitask & prioritize accordingly
  • Other tasks as assigned
