In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. JOB TITLE: Weekend WakeUp Anchor/Reporter
FOX 6 News is seeking an Anchor/Reporter to join our news team! We are looking for an aggressive storyteller who strives for excellence and relentlessly pursues every story with passion and purpose! We are looking for a creative, forward-thinking individual with an engaging personality that can ignite conversations and turn interviews into compelling newsworthy stories for both linear and streaming.

What You'll Do:
* Anchor weekend morning news providing the DMA (Linear) and the state (Digital platforms) with up-to-date and accurate information while letting your personality shine!
* Assist with story selection and booking guests for Weekend WakeUp
* Utilize digital platforms to bring breaking and impactful news to viewers
* 3 days a week you'll be a nightside reporter pitching powerful stories that benefit the community
* You will develop sources and establish a connection with our viewers to effectively tell their stories
* Work collaboratively with news managers, producers, photojournalists, editors and the assignment desk to create captivating news stories and features
* Use various multimedia platforms to engage viewers and reach a broader audience

What You Need:
* Minimum of 3 years news experiences is required
* Degree in Journalism or related field preferred
* Ability to ad-lib effectively
* Excellent on-air reporting skills with strong writing and interviewing skills
* Strong news judgment
* Proficiency with newsroom computers and software
* Ability to pivot from hard to soft news
* Non-linear editing skills a plus
* Open mind and willingness to experience with non-traditional storytelling formats such as podcasts and interactive content

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $74,000.00-80,650.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
