Your role with us

As a Flex Float in Nutrition Services, you cross-train across multiple positions to support the team wherever you're needed-whether it's covering for call-outs, vacations, vacant roles, special projects, departmental tasks, or during busy service times. You represent Nutrition Services with exceptional customer service, always aiming to exceed expectations. Your ability to adapt and stay composed in a fast-paced environment makes you a valuable, multi-skilled team member. You follow departmental standards and policies closely, including adhering to recipes, portion sizes, serving techniques, and dietary requirements. With a genuine sense of care and pride, you meet the needs of both customers and patients. You also prepare fresh, flavorful, and visually appealing food and beverages that enhance the overall experience.

What you'll do

  • Help cover schedule gaps as assigned by Nutrition Services Leadership
  • Support other team members in Nutrition Services
  • Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times ("clean as you go")
  • Follow food safety rules and guidelines
  • Use recipes and measure portions correctly to manage costs
  • Communicate clearly and positively with staff, patients, customers, and leadership

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Food handlers card due within 30 days of hire.
  • Two years of experience working in retail food service or healthcare food service required.

Additional Information

  • Barista and food preparation experience preferred.
