GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Human Resources is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing human resources policies and programs covering the following: staffing, HRIS administration, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, safety & health, and employee rewards & recognition. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Leads the Human Resources functions and personnel for Kratos Unmanned Systems Division across several multistate locations.
- Develops and interprets human resources programs, policies, procedures, and controls; and implements change improvement where desirable.
- Ensures that employment practices are in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
- Directs and coordinates with Kratos corporate office on staffing and recruiting activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired.
- Collaborates with leadership on selection, promotion, and placement of internal company personnel.
- Partners with leadership regarding employee relations issues; manages investigations and initiates corrective action as needed.
- Oversees administration of training programs and ensures that employee training is current per the division Quality Management System.
- Develops and guides divisional wage and salary administration.
- Manages employee performance appraisal programs.
- Directs employee rewards and recognition programs, including utilizing vendors to support multi-tiered recognition, and coordinating HR sponsored employee engagement events.
- Works in partnership with division Environmental Health & Safety department and production leadership to help oversee the administration of employee safety and health.
- Works in conjunction with the corporate office to help coordinate employee benefit programs (medical, dental, 401k, etc.).
- Directs leave of absence and workers compensation programs.
- Prepares and works within the Human Resources Department budget.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred: N/A EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required:
- B.S. degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive human resources experience, including 5+ years in a human resources managerial role, preferably in a defense contractor or manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- SPHR certification preferred.
