Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship, and Special Events plays a key role in the
planning, coordination, and execution of strategic donor engagement initiatives for The Georgia Bulldog Club (
TGBC) and the University of Georgia Athletic Association. This role supports the stewardship and recognition of donors through engaging events, clear and effective communications, and collaborative programming designed to strengthen constituent relationships and advance the Georgia Athletics brand. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management, Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as graphic design software, such as Canva.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality experiences.

Event Planning & Execution:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of stewardship and donor benefit
events for TGBC, under the strategic direction and guidance of the Senior Director. Events include, but are not limited to, annual giving society functions, endowment celebrations, and athletics signature events. - Support the creation and management of event materials such as invitations, agendas,
surveys, briefings, and event summaries. - Facilitate and contribute to event planning meetings, brainstorming sessions, and postevent
debriefs to support continuous improvement in event execution and donor engagement. - Provide on-site event support, including coordination with vendors, staff, speakers, and
logistical partners. - Execute high-level donor experiences ranging from private practice, game day
experiences, to away game travel trips. - Coordinate efforts with major gift officers and athletic teams to enhance donor
experiences. - Work collaboratively across departments and serve as a liaison between internal teams
and external vendors.

Duties/Responsibilities |
Donor Engagement & Stewardship:
- Assist with the implementation the Magill Society stewardship program including gift tracking, annual fulfillment, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain and coordinate the Endowed Scholarship program, including donor communications, thank you campaigns, and the Endowment Scholarship Dinner.
- Ensure accurate and strategic use of GAIL (constituent management system) for event tracking, donor interactions, and communication history.
- Assist with budget development, cost estimates, and final expense reporting in coordination with the Sr. Director of Donor Relations.
- Research and implement best practices in donor engagement, stewardship, and event execution.
