Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Agency Operations Analyst!

About the role

The Agency Operations Analyst supports various Agency Services Operations functions throughout the distribution partner/producer lifecycle. From onboarding to maintaining distribution partner/producer records and data points so that business runs smoothly within compliance guidelines. With minimal guidance or supervision, the Agency Operations Analyst's work includes supporting research and analysis of internal coding or system errors with a sense of urgency, using querying and data analysis to identify and assess the impact. Has moderate knowledge of systems and processes and assists in the development and training of other team members. Takes a proactive role in becoming a subject matter expert and leader of efforts/projects as needed. Attends and schedules meetings as necessary to ensure business unit's requirements are met. Works with other Analysts with varying experience levels, as well as independently on day-to-day activities and documentation of new and existing processes. Develops the ability to effectively support a project to successful completion.

What you'll do in this role




  • Operational duties to include but are not limited to taking a lead role in substantial updates to partner data, partner sales agreement setup and maintenance, maintaining and processing of partner bonus and assets under management programs and payments, processing state DOI appointment/license renewals, managing the Employee Licensing Program, performing coding updates to maintain data integrity/support data feeds, supporting partner impacted advisories, updates to commission tools and commission profiles, creation of new audits and scheduled audits and reporting, bulk appointment terminations, building of commission rates.

  • Provide daily production support as needed to support the business, which may include researching and analyzing Compliance or Law related inquiries, troubleshooting, investigation and analysis of internal coding or system errors, updating coding to support data feeds, commission tool updates and supporting market conduct exams and audits.

  • Facilitates and/or collaborates with others on operations-based projects that will focus on system changes, process improvements, product enhancements and launches, legal and compliance updates, and other department responsibilities.

  • Coach, mentor, train new and existing team members

  • System support and testing, responsible for User Acceptance Testing for new and existing system enhancements for your functional area and product line

  • Creation and maintenance of procedures and processes, identifies and implements ideas for improved efficiency.

Compensation

Hourly Salary Range: $28.93- $48.24 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
