Job Description: Hitachi Rail STS USA, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks an Integrated Manufacturing Planning Manager to ensure the application of integrated planning processes for complex (in term of number of involved technologies and project revenues) assigned projects/bids and programs, through the development and monitoring of project schedule. This position is for a roving employee who will work in unanticipated locations throughout the United States. The employee will have to relocate, but travel is not required from any particular location. Accountabilities Specific duties include: (1) developing the master schedule for bid preparation, the provision of planning tender documentation, and planner cost estimation; (2) directing the project master schedule and project detailed schedules align with the milestones fixed by the customer and/or management expectation on deliveries; (3) supervising the implementation of integrated planning processes and standards; (4) directing the development and maintenance of project planner budget; (5) supervising the project EV analysis and reporting; (6) leading the project team in analyzing of the scope of work, defining the work breakdown structure, and implementing and optimizing project execution plans; (7) managing the project controlling for the economical monitoring of the project; (8) guaranteeing reliability and on-time availability of project reporting; (9) developing company procedures and policies in relation to function; (10) supporting the project managers of each contract by providing planning needed for the project execution and interfacing with the customer regarding the scope of work; and (11) supervising professionals in multiple functions including Engineering Planning, Manufacturing Planning, Bid Planning, and Procurement as well as directly managing internal resources and external contractors for Hitachi's metro projects. Required Skills/ Knowledge (1) Must have two years of manufacturing and project planning experience in the railway industry, as well as any experience with: (2) Supply Chain / Planning; (3) Rolling Stock manufacturing involving car production, testing, validation, and commissioning; (4) working with contractors and suppliers; (5) Power BI tool; (6) Microsoft Project; (7) contract management; and (8) Interface Documents Control. Education/Qualifications (1) Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or management and (2) 5 years of experience in a manufacturing and project planning position. (3) Must have completed Oracle Workforce Development Primavera Professional Program and reached Incorporated Engineer status with at least one recognized engineering body such as the Engineering Council (U.K.), the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) (U.S.), or Engineers Canada.
