The Role:

As the Process Improvement Director, you'll be a pivotal force in advancing our strategic initiatives. Stationed in our dynamic hub, you will collaborate with core leaders and caregivers to dissect key processes, unveil improvement opportunities, and execute transformative action plans through the lens of Lean thinking and TPS methodologies. You'll be instrumental in crafting comprehensive continuous improvement strategies, propelling us toward our business aspirations. Utilizing structured problem-solving, insightful data analysis, and profound business acumen, you'll provide astute recommendations that prioritize actions, inform strategies, and steer the attainment of our goals. A master collaborator, you'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to seamlessly navigate interdependencies while fostering an action-biased culture through coaching and unwavering leadership.

What You'll Do:



  • Champion of Lean Operating Systems: Spearhead the leadership and promotion of our strategy to evolve and sustain a robust Lean Operating System.
  • Driver of Continuous Improvement: Lead the charge in executing continuous improvement endeavors-whether events, projects, or strategic initiatives-encompassing scope definition, root cause analysis, data analytics, change management, risk mitigation, and implementation planning.
  • Execution Facilitator: Organize project teams and hold members accountable, ensuring that activities align with requirements and timelines.
  • Process Analyst: Dive into processes and complex data sets to spotlight areas ripe for improvement, trace root causes, and uncover performance trends.
  • KPI Architect: Provide expert guidance in crafting meaningful KPIs and establishing standard work processes.
  • Mentor and Guide: Offer coaching and consulting in continuous improvement, Agile methodologies, change management, and project management mindsets.
  • Cultural Innovator: Challenge and inspire stakeholders at every organizational level, fostering a culture centered on continuous improvement, experience design, and proactive action.
  • Process Improvement Expert: Apply your expertise to identify and drive enhancements across our organization.


What You'll Bring:



  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Engineering, or Business-or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proven Experience: 8 years of applying continuous improvement tools and methodologies, managing projects of varied complexity, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitation Mastery: 5 years of orchestrating continuous improvement events and mentoring others in the practice.
  • Healthcare Insight: Experience in a healthcare setting preferred, alongside a Lean Black Belt certification.
  • Credential Requirements: Obtain a California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated Success: Proven application of Lean/TPS methodologies to realize business objectives.
  • Project Design Proficiency: Skilled in designing and implementing project/action plans, directing projects, and coordinating operational teams.
  • Influence and Relationship Building: Strong capability to cultivate relationships, motivate, and secure commitment across the organization.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with diverse tools to capture and manage work effectively.
  • Communication Expertise: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively using various formats and channels to diverse audiences.
  • Data Analysis Excellence: Skillful analysis of complex data sets, intuitive visualization, and development of meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Responsive to prioritization shifts within a continuously evolving environment.
  • Independent and Team Worker: Capable of working autonomously or as part of a team with limited supervision.
  • Cross-Functional Navigator: Competent in understanding and managing key interdependencies and relationships.
  • Critical Thinking: Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong critical thinking capabilities.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
