Job Description

Shipper/Receiver - Production

Mercury Systems is an extremely technical company focused on microchip-level electronics. This job site is located in Peachtree Corners, GA, growing rapidly, and seeking to hire a second Shipper/Receiver for our Production department. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and will have a wide range of responsibilities including getting parts shipped out to our customers and ensuring that all reports to accounting are correct.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Prepare shipping documents and pack goods for outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Unpack and verify incoming goods against packing list or other documents, and route them to appropriate department/facility lifting them as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot Shipping/Receiving issues as they arise.
  • Handle materials in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Keep a detailed and accurate log of incoming and outgoing goods for management reporting.
  • Validate previous transactions for discrepancies and ensures internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate.
  • Collaborating and communicating with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing domestic and international shipments.
  • Maintaining an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, counting accurately and documentation scanning (i.e., packing lists, COCs, calibration records) into a data repository.
  • Following all safety practices and procedures and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Hands-on inventory management including cycle counts
  • Receiving, stocking, stacking, pulling, packing, and storing of material.
  • May require dropping packages off at FEDEX or UPS.


Required Qualifications:



  • Typically requires 5+ years of previous hands-on experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse or similar.
  • Experience with reconciling materials received against receiving documentation, requiring strong attention to detail
  • Hands-on inventory management experience, including cycle counts.
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word).
  • May occasionally be required to work overtime.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Basic knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping websites, paperwork, procedures, and both small package and LTL is a plus.
  • Previous experience with import/export compliance preferred.
  • College Degree preferred.
